Store of the Week: Caffe Dolce - A Coffe Shop, Vegetarian Restaurant and Chocolate Desserts Place Rolled into One

Caffe Dolce
One afternoon after a very long day at work, two of my really good friends from PSI invited me to join them for dinner. It is one of those days we just wanted to hang around. We did not plan ahead. It just happened. Rob who is always serious and hard at work is free that night. Jen just came home from a day-long of training and well I'm just available.

Jen was the one who suggested Caffe Dolce because she saw it on her way home. She actually forgot the name but it was Rob who have dined in Caffe Dolce with his mom several times. This will be my first time in Caffe Dolce.

What does Cocoa in Dumaguete taste like?

Dumaguete Chocolate Breakfast
Cocoa is not really a primary product in Dumaguete. Based from the limited research I got from the relatives and house helpers of our host, Dumaguete cocoa is harvested from the farms of Negros Oriental.

I always wonder where are the cocoa farms here in the Philippines because I know cocoa is a not an easy plant to keep. Unfortunately, I did not see the chocolate wrapper nor the store where this Dumaguete cocoa is sold. This only means that I have to return to Dumaguete for chocolate explorations!

For this chocolate journey, only my personal cocoa experience will be reviewed:

Starbucks Limited Edition Christmas Chocolate Drink: Cranberry White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino

I met two of my girl friends for an afternoon of girl bonding this 2011 Christmas Season. We have not seen each other for more than a year and it was high time to catch-up. And since the theme that day is to be purposeful, I also served as courier for Christmas gifts from our friends in Dumaguete.

Starbucks Limited Edition Cranberry White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino
Too bad the gang was not complete but nonetheless I can say it was the first time I really felt the 2011 Christmas season most especially when I saw the latest Limited Edition Christmas Drinks from Starbucks.

Chocolate Buffet at the Ylang-Ylang Cafe, Manila Hotel

On my birthday, the love of my life invited me to share an afternoon with him to enjoy a chocolate buffet in class and style. He booked us a table for two at Cafe Ylang Ylang to enjoy the chocolate creations of Manila Hotel's fine chefs. Below are the scrumptuous chocolate meals we enjoyed that day.

Store of the Week: Tita Lynn's Cafe Chocolate-Flavored Suman and Hot Cocoa at Tiendesitas

Tita Lynn's Cafe at Tiendesitas
The Chocoholics Philippines blog has made me look at my chocholate dining experience as a chocolate journey. My goal in the future is to have regular chocolate tasting events for Chocoholics in the Philippines featuring different chocolatiers and their chocoholic creations. I am dreaming of organizing the first and the biggest Philippine Chocolate Festival and bazaar. Finally, there will be a month dedicated to celebrate chocolate and that October 16 will be the official Chocoholics Philippines Day.

San Miguel Great Food Club Presents the 2011 Flavors of Christmas at Mercato Centrale

Since I started blogging about Chocolates, I found myself experiencing food in different ways than I usually did before. When I was invited to go to Mercato Centrale for The Flavors of Christmas Event of San Miguel Great Food Club I browsed through the activities and found two things I like.

Store of the Week: Tutti Frutti Chocolate-Flavored Yogurt Dessert

Tutti Frutti Chocolate Yogurt Dessert

After a hearty lunch at Robinson's Manila to celebrate two birthdays in the family, our feet brought us to Tutti Frutti to try their yogurt selections. My only interest as usual is to try the Tutti Frutti chocolate-flavored yogurt

I wonder, how does a Tutti Frutti chocolate-flavored yogurt taste like?
